Core Taekwondo Membership Policies

Current as of July 2026

These Membership Policies outline the terms and expectations of membership at Core Taekwondo. By maintaining an active membership, members agree to the following policies.

1. Membership & Recurring Billing

Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis using the payment method on file.

Tuition reserves a student's place in class and is based on enrollment, not attendance.

Memberships remain active until a written cancellation request has been received and processed in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

Core Taekwondo reserves the right to adjust tuition rates with at least thirty (30) days' written notice.

2. Tuition & Payments

Monthly tuition is due regardless of attendance.

No refunds, credits, or prorated tuition will be provided for:

  • Missed classes

  • Vacations

  • Illness

  • Personal scheduling conflicts

  • Scheduled school closures

  • Emergency or weather related closures

Members are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on file.

Returned payments, declined transactions, chargebacks, or other failed payments may be subject to processing fees. Membership privileges may be suspended until the account is current.

3. Class Enrollment & Attendance

Each student is assigned a designated class based on age, rank, and training schedule.

Students are expected to attend their assigned class each week whenever possible.

Alternate classes are intended for occasional scheduling conflicts or make up classes. Please notify us in advance by email if your child will be attending a different class than usual.

As always, we do our best to be flexible and work with your family’s schedule. Please email info@coretkd.com with any questions.

Each class attended counts as one weekly training session. Students may train in 2 classes that are appropriate for their age and rank level. If a student attends two eligible classes in the same day, both classes count toward their weekly training allowance (two sessions).

4. Make Up Classes

Make up classes are offered as a courtesy for occasional missed classes. Make up classes are always encouraged.

  • Must be scheduled in advance.

  • Students should attend their regular assigned class. Other classes may be used for make-ups or extra practice only and cannot replace the student’s regular class.

  • Have no cash value.

  • May not be exchanged for refunds or tuition credits.

5. Class Check In

All students must check in using the designated attendance system before each class.

Check in is required for attendance records, testing eligibility, class planning, and emergency records.

6. Membership Changes & Pauses

Membership changes become effective on the next billing cycle unless otherwise approved.

Memberships may be paused for a minimum of one (1) month and a maximum of six (6) consecutive months.

  • Two (2) weeks' written notice is required.

  • A pause fee of $65 per member applies.

  • Memberships paused longer than six (6) months may be cancelled and future enrollment will be subject to current rates.

  • Medical pauses may be approved at Core Taekwondo's discretion. A doctor's note is required.

7. Cancellation Policy

A minimum of thirty (30) days' written notice is required to cancel a membership.

Membership remains active, and tuition continues during the required notice period.

Failure to attend classes does not cancel a membership.

Stopping or disputing a payment does not satisfy the cancellation requirement.

Members who cancel before completing any agreed upon commitment remain responsible for any remaining tuition or fees.

8. Student Conduct

Students, parents, and guests are expected to:

  • Treat instructors, staff, and fellow members with respect.

  • Follow all school policies and instructor directions.

  • Respect the facility and equipment.

  • Help maintain a safe and positive training environment.

  • Remain quiet while class is in session to help students focus and show respect to the instructors and students training.

Core Taekwondo reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership if a student, parent, family member, or guest:

  • Engages in unsafe, disruptive, or abusive behavior.

  • Harasses, bullies, intimidates, or threatens others.

  • Damages school property.

  • Repeatedly fails to follow school policies, instructor directions, or shows disrespect toward instructors, staff, students, families, or guests.

  • Acts in a manner that is detrimental to the safety or operation of the school.

Termination or suspension under this policy does not entitle the Member to a refund of any fees previously paid.

9. Dojang Operations

Core Taekwondo may modify class schedules, instructors, curriculum, operating hours, or school procedures as needed.

Temporary closures due to weather, emergencies, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control do not qualify for refunds, credits, or prorated tuition.

9. Dojang Closures & Holidays

Core Taekwondo observes the following scheduled closures each year:

  • New Year's Day

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • Presidents Day

  • Spring Break (one week)
